Black Oak Stables has a 200' x 75' indoor arena, with a heated viewing room wired with a PA
system for auditing instruction in the arena. The stabling barns are next door to the indoor, and
a short hack down a dirt road leads to Black Oak's two-acre grass jumping field and sand dressage
arena. Adjacent to the outdoor schooling areas is Bradley Palmer State Park, with miles of trails
and cross-country obstacles.
SCHOOLING
Schooling at Black Oak Stables is arranged by scheduled appointment; please
contact us to reserve use. Prior to the first visit,
release forms must be signed by every rider, and if the rider is
a minor, by the adult responsible for the child. The fee for schooling is $20 per horse and rider,
for each visit. The indoor arena is available year-round; please call for hours. The grass jump
field is available mid-June through November, during daylight hours. The sand dressage ring is
also open seasonally.
BOARDING
Black Oak Stables is moving back to being a private family barn. No new full-time boarders are
being accepted. However, we welcome clinic attendees who would like to stable their horses at Black
Oak during their clinics. Our stalls are spacious, we have a heated tackroom, and a hot and cold
water wash stall. We provide water and initial beddding only. Please
contact us for more information and pricing.
